Backyard BBQ in Cool Native Surrounds

This garden design started with the statement ‘I want a deck to have a bbq space to fit more than just our family’. From that statement the garden grew into a series of terraces, a multitude of day beds and bench seat borders. A large deck with a shade structure above that would carry a climber to soften and shade. Dry stone wall raised garden beds filled with mass planted dry climate plantings give the garden a cool native feel. Steel screens, water features and a log stacked wall help to catch the eye and limit the view through to the neighbouring houses. They also help to create an atmosphere suited to a typical afternoon bbq for family and friends.
