Sophisticated Design Creates Space for a Growing Family

This sexy renovation to a backyard in Glen Iris, Melbourne is the outcome of both sophisticated design and specialised construction. daniel tyrrell landscapes and Out From The Blue worked together to produce a transformation that far surpassed their client’s expectations. With a brief that included a user friendly space for a growing family that would double for day/night entertaining and the inclusion of a some- what awkward existing pool.

A series of planters, levels and seating add interest to the large wrap around deck that throws you into a garden with depth, colour, texture and a pool that takes back the centre stage. A mix of granite and bluestone paving help to define lines that blur the necessary pool fence. The rear screens add depth and colour while hiding the ‘nosie’ neighbour and unsightly shed. A clever granite platform leads to a raised deck that takes advantage of either morning sun or the afternoon shade.
